CHILD-MINDING

Just because your kids come first doesn’t mean your fitness has to come last. That’s why Velocity Sports Lab offers a child-minding facility – a place where your kids can hang out while you work out. With up to 90 min of supervision per day, our child-minding facility is a fun, safe and supervised place for children ages 3 months to 8 years.

Information

AGE RESTRICTION

We cater for babies, toddlers and children from the age of 3 months up to 8 years. Please note that it may be potentially dangerous for children older than 8 years to play in the same environment where the majority of children are younger toddlers and babies.

EXCLUSIVE TO MEMBERS

For the benefit of your children, the facility is for the exclusive use of Velocity Sports Lab clients. Parents will not be permitted to leave the Velocity Sports Lab while their child is in the child-minding facility.

DROPPING OFF YOUR CHILD

On arrival, parents will be asked to sign their child in by completing the daily register. You will be asked to specify exactly which areas of the gym you will be utilizing in case we need to locate you should your child be distressed or in the unlikely event of an emergency. A maximum time of 90 minutes will be permitted.

ORIENTATING YOUR CHILD INTO A NEW ENVIRONMENT

All children are different.  Some settle into new surroundings straight away, others may take time to adjust and settle down. This is only natural, so we invite you to stay in our facility, especially during the first few visits.

NAPPIES AND TOILET TRAINING

We are more than willing to change disposable nappies, however as the Velocity Sports Lab do not keep a supply, you will need to bring a clean stock of nappies and all other toiletries required to change your child. This should be left in a labelled bag. If your child has only recently been toilet trained, a spare change of clothing is advised.

ILLNESS

Children who are ill will not be allowed in the child-minding area. It is not fair to put the health of the other children at risk.
