The club is equipped with a larger aerobic class studio and two smaller personal training studios. Join a conditioning, cardio, dance, movement, yoga or stretch class.  Our timetable will keep you on top of your game and alert you to any new classes.  Or enjoy some personal time with our trainers to achieve your goals.

Kickstart your day.
Spinning classes are held most mornings and the studio is equipped with Suunto Fitness Solutions.  A perfect way to kickstart your mornings with captivating views over the Hout Bay beach adding some of nature’s spellbinding powers to your fitness and cycling routine.

Carmen Buchacher

Carmen Buchacher

Carmen received a Diploma of Sport and Fitness Training with the German Olympic Sports Association in July 2013. Her personal training interests lie in the field of rehabilitation and return to sport.

Being an athlete herself, she can relate to athletes requirements. Fitness training and personal training for the youth, the elderly and anyone who hasn’t been successful in achieving their fitness and health goals all lie within her capabilities.

Tara van Alphen – Biokineticist

Treatment for:

Tara works with orthopaedic patients – pre-& post op, Injured individuals, sports injuries & general injuries. Special populations include – children, the elderly, and pregnant women and with patients needing:  Chronic Disease management, general health & wellness and sports-specific conditioning.

How clients will benefit

Each patient is treated individually.  Based on our initial assessment with the patient, we devise an individualized specific exercise prescription accordingly, together with taking their own needs & goals into account. For example, with the elderly, we would aim to improve their quality of life & make their activities of daily living easier to manage.

MASSAGE
Willie Louw

Treatment for:

Even though everyone can benefit from some bodywork and muscle release from time to time, the clients Willie works with are most often physically active people preparing for or recovering from a specific activity or event.  Additionally, people in the later stages of injury rehabilitation.

How clients will benefit

Willie provides his clients with a treatment that is tailored to their specific needs. This is determined by their own feedback and a specific range of motion testing. Fascial or connective tissue release, trigger point work and deep tissue massage all play a big role in his approach to freeing up the movement in muscles, other soft tissues and restoring your body to the way it should be moving.

PHYSIO

Chris Allan

Chris typically works with clients who have Sports injuries (especially endurance athletes), Orthopaedic injuries and with post-orthopaedic surgery rehabilitation.

How clients will benefit

With more than 20 years’ experience treating sports and orthopaedic injuries as well as participating in multiple sporting events Chris brings knowledge and experience from both sides.  He always tries to keep athletes training during their recovery so that the return to sports participation is seamless and timeous.

DIETICIANS

Mariella Dierks

  • BSc Sport Science Stellenbosch
  • BSc (med) hon Nutrition and Dietetics University of Cape Town

Treatment for: 

Anyone needing help with their nutrition such as weight loss, food intolerances or chronic disease.  She works with athletes to meet their nutritional requirements and develops race day nutrition plans.  Mariella is a passionate triathlete and runner.

How clients will benefit

She aims to help people live a healthy, wholesome life dependent on their specific needs.  Healthy eating does not have to be expensive or difficult.  Mariella motivates clients to achieve a healthier life through making step by step adjustments to transform eating habits into long term changes.  As athletes, nutrition before, during and after exercise is crucial. Getting nutrition right means improved performance and recovery. Race day nutrition is a very individualistic topic and each athlete needs individual attention as to what works for them. It can either make or break your race.  Once we have your nutrition plan waxed, you will find that your performance will be the best it has ever been.
